San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) has announced that trail trimming operations are to commence at Los Peñasquitos Canyon Preserve's southern access road on Monday, November 13. The South Main Trail, situated between the Ranch House Crossing and the Waterfall, will be closed while work takes place, as stated in a recent Nextdoor post.

For the purpose of safeguarding trail users, and to efficiently conduct the work, SDG&E will be closing the trail. An illustrated map underlines the section of the trail that will be affected, assisting those planning trips during the project's duration.

SDG&E has yet to specify how long the trail trimming will take, urging visitors to be on the lookout for further updates. Trail users are advised to visit the northern side trails of the preserve in the interim.
